Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy?

Exercise is safe during pregnancy in most cases, and most physicians and OBGYNs will highly recommend it. Exercise does not put you at risk for a miscarriage in a normal pregnancy.

If you were fit prior to pregnancy, it is possible to continue the sports and activities you did before you got pregnant. I exercised throughout the duration of my two pregnancies. If you were not fit prior to pregnancy, you can and should begin to pursue a fitness regime on most if not all days, because it can greatly benefit your health during pregnancy, and even the health of your baby.

However, now is not the time to exercise for weight loss. Healthy food is as essential as a healthy workout.

Exercises specifically designed for pregnancy

A healthy workout does not mean a workout that will stress you to your limits. That’s why I tailor the workout to each individual in my pregnancy workout classes. Power lifting at max level, mixed martial arts and rugby are not on the bill. Strength training and aerobic conditioning are. It’s a customized workout tailored to bring out the best in your physically and mentally.

Let’s do this!
